6 week in-person workshop Wednesdays @8pm

Are you stiff and sore when you wake up in the morning and feeling like all your energy is gone?

When your friends or kids ask you to do something fun that you would like to experience, do you hear your self saying ‘oh, I can’t, I have a bad back?’

Here is a student who so graciously came out to the photoshoot of my website but guess what…… during the photoshoot the back pain he had for 30 years was gone when he stood up. He was so moved it brought him to happy tears. Of course it isn’t always this easy, AND you want to sustain that relief which takes some retraining and re-patterning and a lot of awareness. I will teach you all of these tools in this workshop so you are empowered to keep your back feeling great.

Back pain and burnout sound like two completely separate things….. but are they?

Did you know that if you are exerting more effort to hold yourself upright your back muscles are engaged most of the day?

This could feel like holding it together and then collapsing by the end of the day.

This is all part of the cycle that is keeping you stuck in back pain and never truly healing. That’s why this program will address the physical body, awareness mindfulness, and breath work all to support your healing and get you out of that cycle.

You will learn:

  • the one thing you are doing that creates exhaustion in the body

  • how to eliminate restless sleep from back pain

  • how to exercise without pain afterward

  • to make the most of your healthcare appointments by empowering yourself between visits

  • how and why moving your hips and shoulders is an important piece to keep your back feeling good

  • how to do core exercises to strengthen your back (this includes breathing exercises)

This workshop offers a customized approach, which includes:

  • Weekly yoga therapy practice specifically targeting back pain

    (Wednesdays 8pm in Oakville @ Creating Space Yoga studio on Chartwell Rd.)

  • two 1-on-1 20 min appointments with me.

    (The first to understand specifically what is going on with your body, health history, what your goals are, and your specific needs for class. The second is a mid way check in to answer any of your questions and address any feedback you’d like on your movements.)

  • customized program you can do at home

  • supporting your energy levels with weekly tips, and accountability through a private Facebook group.

This program is for you if:

  • you are serious about feeling better and doing the work required to relieve your pain and discomfort

  • you’re willing to commit and show up to the practice times and do the customized program (usually only offered to 1:1 clients)

  • you still have enough mobility to get down on the floor (if you can’t say yes to this right now please reach out, and we can set up a free consult for a 1:1)

  • you have told your friends and family ‘no, sorry, I can’t I have a bad back’

  • you’ve started (or have been for awhile) making grunting/groaning noises as you sit and stand. You may even experience the concept of ‘falling’ into your seat.

  • you’re afraid to do the activities you love, or play with your kids because you may aggravate your back.

  • you’re afraid that if you feel this way now, how is it going to be in 5 years? 10 years?
